The Soft Backplate was designed by Mares to house a single light tank and always feel like a technical diver. Conceived and designed to provide the diver with the Hogartian XR style.

The main features of the Soft Backplate are:

• 1200d ballistic nylon
• Ultra light
• Comfortable padding in water-draining polypropylene, with 4 slots
• 2 upper and 2 lower slots to connect the straps directly to the cylinder
• 5 sliding triglides
• Special positioning for optimal mounting of the harness and crotch strap / undercarriage
• 2 center holes in the top and 2 in the bottom offer a wide range of height adjustments for the bags
• 2 holes in the middle of both sides of the long perimeter and 4 holes along the bottom allow the mounting of accessories from the side and bottom plate for sidemount
• 4 D-rings
